Job Purpose 

The Production Planner ensures the efficient and timely production of KARNO gensetsLeveraging your understanding of additive manufacturing processes to create and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines and quality requirements.   

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Powder, print, assembly, test scheduling internally: Develop and maintain production schedules for additive manufacturing jobs, considering factors like machine capacity, material availability, and post-processing requirements. 
  • Track and optimize schedule for external post-processing for printed components (includes heat treating, stress relieve, EDM, and machining) 
  • Maintain inventory levels of printing materials like powder and manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth operation. 
  • Develop and steward master production plan to ensure alignment with sales plan. Prepare and present production reports to management, keeping them informed of progress and potential challenges. 
  • Continuously improve production processes by researching and implementing new technologies and best practices in additive manufacturing, including evaluation and/or recommendation of scheduling software as needed 
  • Forecasting workforce needs over time given production targets and manufacturing engineering team input 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, needed or required for the business.

Qualifications include: 

Education, Experience and Certifications 

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program, preferably in engineering 
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience with highly engineered products (i.e Aerospace) 

 Skills and Abilities  

  • Demonstrated planning, analytical, attention to detail, and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in using production planning software and data analysis tools. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams (i.e. engineering, and others as needed) and external clients. 

 

Role Classification and Working Conditions 

This is a salaried, exempt-level position. This position typically works in an office environment, and given the nature of our business, is also exposed to operations/warehouses/production environments.  

 

Physical/Other Requirements 

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to travel, as needed, by plane, automobile, etc., approximately 10%.
